Laurie M. Nye is a native of Pensacola,
Florida. Having been married to a military man, she
has traveled extensively throughout the United
States and overseas. After the military they have
made Pensacola their home again.
She began painting in her early twenties and
has continued her art studies to present. She has
studied oils, watercolor, acrylics, mixed media,
stained glass, pastels and collage.
She finds joy in painting realism to abstract,
and loves to paint different values from subdued to
vibrant colors.
